for the Internet Key Moments in the World Wide Web's History.
First EIGHT volumes of Oswald's
Closest Friend; The George de Mohrenschildt Story were copyrighted in 1995 with all of it's conclusions
before internet was fully established.
1989: Tim Berners-Lee submits a proposal
for a distributed information system, the foundation of the World
Wide Web, while at CERN.
1990: Berners-Lee, with Robert Cailliau, creates the first web
browser, editor, and web server at CERN.
1991: Berners-Lee announces the WWW software on the Internet,
and the first websites go live.
1993: CERN places the World Wide Web technology in the public
domain, allowing it to grow and flourish as an open standard.
1993: The NCSA Mosaic web browser is released, which displays
images alongside text, making the Web more accessible and user-friendly.
1994: The first International World Wide Web conference is held
at CERN, and Tim Berners-Lee founds the World Wide Web Consortium
(W3C) to guide its evolution.
1995: Microsoft releases Internet Explorer, and the \"browser
wars\" between Netscape and Microsoft begin, accelerating
web development.
Late 1990s - Early 2000s:
The Web transitions from the static, read-only
Web 1.0 to the interactive and user-generated content of Web
2.0.
2000s: The rise of social media platforms like Facebook (2004)
and content platforms like YouTube(2005) transforms the internet
into a social and participatory space.
